Hey Knee Team!!

Could use some personal prayer today...

Dwight and Emma are beginning their journey home from Ghana in just a little bit.

They fly to Europe where they will have a 5 hour layover.

Then to the United States where they will have a 9 hour layover.

We will finally{!} pick them up Thursday night
at a not-so-close airport.

BUT

Dw is not feeling well at all.

Again, this is one of those times when I would rather spit it all out,
but because our Place Called Simplicity is so public, I can't.

Anyway, I am trying not to worry.
I really am.

But we could really use prayer for his healing - NOW!

They won't land at the airport for me to pick them up for a full 18 hours from now.  That's a long time feeling the way he is feeling.

Thank you Knee Team.

You guys are the best!!

PS  Knee Team - I am working on a way to send you guys personal messages.  I think I have it figured out.  So sweet Knee Team friends - be watching.  I hope to do that post a little later today.

  11. Linny - Certainly don't know that I qualify for your "Knee Team" but totally understand the need for prayer today and the public blog thing...especially since hubby is also a pastor. I'll be praying DW and Emma home and if you have a moment to pray for us for a "meeting" at 5pm today with members of our church, we'd so appreciate it. I'd love to share more personally with you, too. I don't do spiritual warfare well on my own, but again can't post it for prayer on the blog. HUGS and PRAYING!!

  13. I am praying, Linny. Thank God that He is big enough to be with each of us, no matter where we are in the world. I know that the Lord is with Dw right now. I will ask for the Lord's had to be upon him blessing him and restoring him to health. I am also asking for His sweet peace to be upon you.

    Bless you, Linny!

  14. I will pray. Will you pray for my Mom to feel better too? If she feels better we will head to the Ramp tomorrow! The Ramp is one of the best places I know of. They are a program that get together to worship and praise God. Praying for both! I know if it is God's will for us to go he will make it happen, and he also knows the desire of my heart. He cares. Praying!

  36. Lord, we pray that no weapon formed against Linny's family will prosper, not even the weapon of illness. We affirm that you love and care for your children and that you are doing so even while their family is on different continents. We know that the angel of Lord encamps around them. We pray that they are able to rest and relax on their flights, that all sickness symptoms dissipate, that flight schedules remain on time, that you will surround them with airline staff and passengers who will be of good temperament and helpful attitudes, that you will keep Linny's home at peace through the next few days as they anticipate and enjoy a long awaited reunion. We pray that You will strategically orchestrate divine appointments for Linny, Dw and Emma that would bring glory to you and encourage their hearts. We pray for a time of recovery as a family, with no distractions or outside emergencies that this family might rest and recouperate. We pray that you will keep all of us praying 'round the clock, in all states, all over the world so they will know they are covered even while they sleep. Thank you for their service, their hearts, and how they pour out genuine love and encouragement to all of us fellow believers.

  42. Hey Linny,
Know I am praying. I have not commented in ages. Not because I have not checked In
Or been praying when needs arise but I too have been sick since returning from Africa a year ago. So commenting on ALL blogs took a back seat. But I am coming out of my commenting hiatus to let you know I will be lifting your husband up In
Prayer. I am so very sorry to hear he is sick. Glad he will be home where he cam be treated soon. Already praying too for wisdom for the drs upon his return.

Praying for your heart too as you wait.

    Love,
    Shannon

  49. Came in late to this post...so glad DW is doing better...I will still pray....also asking if you could pray for a friend of mine who is also in Ghana...he has a heart for sharing the gospel and is a remarkable young man. He almost died last year from Malaria...so could you lift him up and pray that he does not get sick this time.
Also, my friend Grace is in Eastern Europe trying to pick up her boy, but there is snag after snag and evil things happening...she needs a court date and right now it is looking like they might have to come home without him because of all the delays. Could you please pray that God moves this mighty mountain...He did such amazing things for their family in both the raising of the money and the protection of this boy against malnutrition...
    Thanks
    C~
